Dansk Supermarked Gets Serious About Click & Collect

Dansk Supermarked is set to launch a grocery click & collect service in two Bilka hypermarkets, according to Danish retail magazine Dansk Handelsblad. Bilka’s Chain Director expects the Bilka To Go service to represent 5% of Bilka’s current turnover by 2024 following a full roll-out.

Dansk Supermarked Rallies Danish E-tailers Against Amazon

Dansk Supermarked has started offering competing online retailers the opportunity to sell through its non-food e-commerce platform Wupti. The Danish retailer’s Group Digital Director, Kenneth Nielsen told financial magazine Børsen that this is the only choice if Danish e-tailers are to remain competitive against the likes of Amazon in the future.

Dansk Supermarked is piloting a grocery click & collect service called Bilka To Go in its home market of Denmark. Kenneth Nielsen, Executive Vice President, E-commerce & Digital at Dansk Supermarked told the newspaper Berlingske Business that the trial is so far limited to the retailer’s employees.

Netto Tailors New Stores to Choosy Swedes

Dansk Supermarked’s discounter Netto is to introduce a new fresh-focussed store concept in Sweden. Swedish retail magazine Market reported that the Danish retailer is to offer 100 additional fruit & vegetable items; a wider meat selection; and increased chilled and frozen departments – all at the expense of a reduced promotional area.
